1956 Olympic Games. 2/- denomination designed by staff artists at Courvoisier SA, Switzerland and printed by them as an experiment. It had been decided to introduce multicolour photogravure stamp printing in Australia and the selection of printing machinery had not yet been finalised.
The 2/- value features a view of the city’s skyline across the Yarra River.
Full original proof page with two sets of four, with differing shades of blue, comprising four colour separations and the completed design, all affixed to card, in very fine condition.
